Our Translucent SLES & SLS-Free Melt & Pour Soap Base allows soapmakers a wider range of soap bases with which to experiment and create artistic new creations, as this provides slightly more opacity than the clear, while less than the white – no need to blend different bases to get it right. Glycerin, a natural emollient, draws moisture from the air to benefit the complexion, and the base cleanses without stripping or upsetting the delicate natural pH balance necessary for soft, healthy looking skin. And because we only use quality vegetable oils, our soap rinses clean and leaves no soapy film behind.

Caution: When making soaps it is good to remember that the Melt & Pour Bases contain water as part of the formula; so if they are left exposed to the atmosphere, the water will evaporate and the bar of soap will shrink. We therefore recommend fully wrapping the soap bar as soon as it is poured, cooled and dry to minimize or eliminate any shrinkage.
